A CRS-Boston team presented a Life In The Spirit Seminar at the Archdiocesan Pastoral Center in Braintree from April 26 to 28, 2019.
This program helps people activate the gifts and power of God's Holy Spirit which has already been given to them in Baptism and Confirmation.
Kay Hellmuth, a leader in the New Jerusalem prayer group caught the fire of the Holy Spirit back in the 1970's. In the months leading up to the CRSB seminar she felt the urge to refresh her initial experience of baptism in the Holy Spirit. She invited others of her prayer group, which meets at Saint Timothy's in Norwood, to join her at the seminar. So both Kay and prayer group member Mary Baker joined about 20 people attending the program.
At her prayer meeting on the Thursday following the weekend, she shared how on fire she was from the whole experience. "For me I recommitted my life to the LORD!" she exclaimed. "The team was awesome in their talks. I witnessed someone receive the gift of tongues during the baptism prayer. You just knew that the Spirit was healing all of us." Kay freely assures everyone that, "Jesus Is alive!"
