Keep the Fire Burning - Talk 1

Hurricane Lee did not deter fourteen recent Life In The Spirit Seminar graduates from attending the first follow-up Growth In The Spirit teaching. The program was led by a team from the Archdiocese of Boston Charismatic Renewal Services Evangelization Ministry on September 16, 2023 at St. Jude Church Hall in Waltham, Massachusetts. The team had been meeting by Zoom weekly since July to plan the program.

After the group circulated and got to know each other, Bob Hartman, Chris Muise, and Janice Filippi led a time of praise.  Mike Marraffino explained the background and purpose of the Growth in The Spirit teachings. The day's lesson focused on a talk, Loving God by Ginny Rossini.

Rossini focused on demonstrating love for God by following Jesus' commandments. Specifically by loving God with ones' whole heart, soul, mind, and strength. She provided many examples of exercising these four dimensions from Scripture and her own experience. 

The Group then broke up into table discussions to explore how this message can move in their lives. People enthusiastically joined the discussions. Several commented that much more discussion time should have been allowed. 

It is hoped that today's energized audience will encourage other Life In The Spirit Seminar graduates to join our next monthly session on Saturday, October 21.
